Sirloin Steak with Red Wine Sauce August 02 , 2018No Comments
This recipe is great for grilling out!
From the Wildtree Workshop: Backyard BBQ
INGREDIENTS
John Henry's Sirloin Steak
2 lbs
Yellow Onion
1, thinly sliced
Tomato Paste
5 Tbsp
Red Wine
1/2 Cup
Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil (Wildtree)
1 Tbsp
European Dipping Oil - Mediterranean Balsamic (Wildtree)
1 Tbsp
Rancher Steak Rub (Wildtree)
2 tsp
Water
1/4 Cup
PREPARATION
Mix together the onion, tomato paste, red wine, oils and seasoning in a large ziploc bag to create your marinade.
Add the steak to the marinade and allow to rest overnight, or at least for a few hours. *If preparing a freezer meal, you should allow the meat to marinade while the package is thawing out.
When you are ready to cook, preheat your grill to high heat. Clean and grease the grill grates to avoid sticking.
Making sure to reserve the marinade, remove the steaks from the freezer bag and grill for 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness: 130°F for medium rare.
Mix water with reserved marinade and bring to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until it reaches desired consistency.
