Serve Salisbury Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli for a "down on the farm" dinner that is fit for the farmer!
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2lbs John Henry's Ground Sirloin
1/2 Cup Spinach, finely chopped
1 Egg
2 tsp Steak Rub Seasoning
1 Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 Red Bell Pepper, thinly sliced
4oz Mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
3 Tbsp John Henry's Butter
1 Cup Beef Bone Broth
1/4 Cup Coconut Milk
PREPARATION
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the ground beef, spinach, egg and steak rub together in a bowl. Mix it and squish it together so the seasoning is distributed throughout the meat. Form the mixture into 6 balls and flatten them into patties.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear the patties for about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer them to a baking dish and stash them in the oven while making the gravy.
  4. Lower your skillet heat to medium and melt the butter. Saute the onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms for about 7 minutes or until tender.
  5. Add the beef broth to deglaze the pan and bring it to a boil.
  6. Stir in the coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes or until the sauce reaches desired thickness.
  7. Add the patties to the gravy, turning to coat them. Serve over mashed potatoes and enjoy!
